Denny Smith, owner of Greystone Construction, is an East Tennessee native having been born and raised in the local area. He is a graduate of University of Tennessee. Shortly after graduating he began his career in the construction industry. Denny has been part of every task imaginable in the building process. In 2000, he founded Greystone Construction and quickly became a preferred builder in the area. With over 20 years experience in the construction industry, he is committed to superior quality that exceeds his clients expectations. He is personally involved with his clients through every phase of the building process. Denny goes above and beyond to insure that the entire process goes smoothly. Building is not just a job for Denny, it’s a passion!

Denny was at our house nearly everyday during construction to check on things. Denny was easy to talk to and discuss options before and during construction. He is very particular about the build quality and this was much appreciated by us. His quote was not the lowest, but it ended up being much closer to actual, without changes to what was originally quoted. He told us the truth about what it would cost to build our home. We would sit down with Denny each month and go over the current bills during our construction. We knew the cost during the total construction.

We really liked the way Denny bid the job to build our home. He will tell you the truth about what the job will cost. Other builders will bid the job low to get the work and then surprise, they will claim the price of materials went up and you end up paying what Denny told you the job would cost. Fairly early after our home was built, we had a very expensive Pella window start to leak, after the leak got so bad it stained the wall. We decided to call Denny to see what could be done. He came right out and began a process to determine exactly what part of the window was leaking. He then determined that the window was defective and called Pella. With Denny’s help we received a new window at no charge. After our home was built, anytime we decided we wanted to do something different or add something to our house, Denny would come right out and help us determine a plan of action and then give us names and numbers for contractors to do the job. He only works with subs who know their craft, who respond to your call, and get the job done in a timely manner. Denny is a conscientious, detail oriented contractor. We would not hesitate to have him build for us again. We also have come to consider Denny to be a personal friend.
